Fox and Rabbit Holiday Cottages are nestled in the picturesque North York Moors National Park, amidst Dalby Forest. This charming group of three cottages – Fox Cub Cottage, Little Fox Cottage, and Sleepy Fox Cottage all offering a cozy and comfortable stay with high-standard furnishings. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout their stay and are welcome to bring well-behaved pets.

The cottages are set around a paved courtyard with seating and colourful planting, providing a serene environment for relaxation. In addition, the site also provides motor home and caravans with full private water, electric hook ups and Elsan disposal available for grey and white water. 

The cottages serve as an excellent base for exploring nearby attractions such as Pickering, Goathland, Flamingo Land Theme Park, Eden Camp, Castle Howard, Dalby Forest and the coast at Whitby.

The cottages are conveniently located close to the Fox and Rabbit Inn which is a 1-minute walk, which features a restaurant with a wide selection of local beers and good wines.

The cottages also pride them selves in providing the below facilities for cyclists:

  1. Secure Bike Storage: Each cottage has its own Vanguard bike storage locker that will accommodate 2 bikes.
  2. Proximity to Cycling Routes: The cottages are ideally located near Dalby Forest, which is renowned for its extensive network of cycling trails suitable for all levels.
  3. Bike Hire: If you don’t have your own bike, there are local bike hire services available that can be recommended.
  4. Bike Wash: The facility provides and area and equipment to wash down that muddy bike. 
  5. Drying Room: Separate area provided that is heated to hang those wet cloths and boots.

Here at Fox and Rabbit Holiday Cottages we have the benefits of being in the North York Moors National Park, and have one of the clearest and darkest night skies. We are located on the edge of Dalby Forest which is an exceptional location for stargazing, of which this area is recognised as a Milky Way class Dark Sky Discovery site. This area was awarded International Dark Sky Reserve status in December 2020.

We are currently working with North York Moors National Park to provide paying guests with free equipment so they can sit in their own cottage garden and watch the dark skies above.
